Liability Waivers
Our farm waivers are written agreements that outline common activities and risks that may happen while you are having fun on our farm. Although waivers are primarily legal tools, they also serve an educational purpose by letting you know about the potential risks of an activity. You can determine if this activity is right for you. Often that's all it takes to understand, and hopefully, avoid accidents and misunderstandings.
Waivers cannot be signed by minors. Activity participants under 18 years old must have an informed consent signed by a parent or legal guardian.
This document asks participants to take responsibility for their own actions and assume the risks associated with their participation in a voluntary or paid program or event at the Farm.
Farm Waiver
Our land, garden, and animals are a base from which we promote health, wellness & agrotourism. You will have the opportunity of engaging in Therapy, Retreat, or Recreational, Agrotourism activities on the farm.
The Potential Risks Involved in The Activity
We are an operational farm and there are real dangers here including goats with horns, Big exotic animals like Llamas, sharp stuff to step on, and rocks to trip over, rivers with a rapid current, please be aware of animal smells and poop as our animals often free-range.
Inherent risks, means those dangers or conditions which are an integral part of such agritourism activity including, but not limited to, certain hazards such as surface and subsurface conditions; natural conditions of land, vegetation, and waters; the behavior of wild or domestic animals; and ordinary dangers of structures or equipment ordinarily used in farming or ranching operations. “Inherent risks” also includes the potential of a participant to act in a negligent manner that may contribute to injury to the participant or others, such as failing to follow instructions given by the farm management or failing to exercise reasonable caution while engaging in the agritourism activity.
You understand that the behavior and actions of any animal can be unpredictable and that in being around animals ‘personal injury or property damage may occur. Being aware of the risks that may be involved, you indemnify and hold harmless Dancing Goat Therapy Farm & The Soul Talk Counselling Services and/or the Farm Owners, their volunteers & employees hereby referred to as “The Farm” for any and all personal injury or personal property damage resulting from your participation.
Hand Sanitation
Interacting with farm animals is an important experience for children and adults. Being able to touch and watch the animals helps people to learn about agriculture and encourages the human-animal bond. Despite the many benefits of interacting with farm animals, people should be aware that farm animals can sometimes carry germs that make people sick. You will protect yourself, and family, and the animals on the farm by remembering to use hand sanitizer if soap and water are not readily available.
Dress for the Farm:
We recommend that you wear the appropriate footwear which would include rubber boots. Mud, rocks, leaves, sticks, puddles, and other potentially slippery conditions may be encountered.

Signing the waiver creates a binding contract whereby You the participant gives away your right to sue if you are injured, even if the injury resulted from the negligence of the people organizing the activity.
Only participants who are 18 years of age or older must sign a waiver.
I the participant acknowledge & confirm that:
1) Have read and understood the waiver
2) Are willing to accept the risks
3) Release Dancing Goat Therapy Farm and all its Staff members from liability and
Information collected on this form will be held in confidentiality.
We hold a “No Waiver No Play” policy. The waiver is valid for the entire year.
